Pennsylvania, campus locked down

by Pierpaolo De Natale - "After a critical incident at Franklin Regional Senior High School this morning, the campus was locked down.  Elementary classes were cancelled and high school students were evacuated to the middle school.  Law enforcement are working with the school district to manage the situation". That is the announcement readable on the Franklin Regional School of Murrysville, Pennsylvania.

A fifteen student, armed with knives, attacked some of his classmates this morning, creating panic within the school building, which has about 3600 students.

The victims - 19 guys and a school employee -were taken to three hospitals in the county. Seven students would be in serious condition.

A Forbes Regional Hospital doctor, told CNN that several wounded were stabbed in the abdomen, chest and back. It is "very serious injuries, not superficial", he said, "many are in life threatening". The most serious is a fifteen years old, who was immediately underwent emergency surgery.

The incident happened at 7:13 this morning, local time, and it appears that the suspect was armed with two knives, but have not been made known its generality nor its identity. Meanwhile police investigations are underway and some classes will be suspended for the next days.
